Legal Tip of the Day - Health Care Power of Attorney

With a Power of Attorney for Health Care, known in California as an Advance Health Care Directive (AHCD), you can dictate the kind of medical care you receive and appoint an agent to make decisions if you are sick and unable to give instructions yourself. The AHCD includes a Living Will, DNR or CPR, and your instructions pain, and breathing assistance so that you receive the medical treatment you choose instead of someone else.
